Following the first round tournaments in Kocaeli (Turkey) and Trebon (Czech Republic), the finalists of this season's IKF Europa Cup are now known. From the tournament in Kocaeli, the champions of Germany and England qualified. In Trebon, the champion clubs of Russia, Hungary and the Czech Republic qualified.
The champion clubs from the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal had already qualified based on their country’s performance in last year's finals. None of the qualifications were surprising except that Szentendre (HUN) beat Ceske Budejovice (CZE) convincingly in the Trebon first round tournament.

The pool composition and schedule for the finals, which are due to be held in Herentals (BEL) from 20 to 23 January 2010, will be announced by 15 October.
After a very exciting and high quality game DOS'46 won the Dutch league title with a stunning 26-23 victory over Koog Zaandijk. The "Koogers" were able the close the gap DOS'46 made, at te very end of the game. Resulting in a 22-22. But during the 5 minutes of overtime DOS'46 turned out to be te best.
After Boeckenberg from Belgium, DOS'46 is the 2nd team to be confirmed for the Europacup 2010.
After an exciting finale Boeckenberg was able to prolonge their title as Belgian Champion. they beat Scaldis with 20-24. This means that Beockenberg is also the first team to be confirmed for the Europacup 2010.
Koog Zaandijk managed to keep the EuropaCup in Koog a/d zaan after a 22-18 win over Boeckenberg.
